Dawat-e-Islami is a global, non-political, Islamic organization working for the propagation of Quran and Sunnah throughout the world. It was established in 1981 by Hazrat Allama Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri Razavi Ziyae, who is one of the great Islamic scholars and spiritual guides of our time.
Our Mission:
Our mission statement is given by the founder Maulana Ilyas Qadri himself that “I must
strive to reform myself and the people of the entire world”
In Kwa Zulu Natal (KZN), Dawat-e-Islami has
established its Islamic activities in a short period of time in many areas via our Islamic
brothers and sisters many of whom are volunteers including its honourable Ulema, Huffaaz,
Aalimas & Muallimas. Cities like Durban have several centres in areas like Overport,
Reservoir Hills, Effingham, Phoenix, Bluff & Port Shepstone.In the city of the
Pietermaritzburg Dawateislami has established two centres.
Educational Upliftment, Spiritual betterment of the Ummah benefitting humanity and the local
communities we serve forms the core of our Islamic activities here moving forward with our
Dawateislami mission statement. Work is growing from strength to strength. All this is through
the blessings of Ameer Ahle Sunnat the founder of Dawateislami.

uplifting the Muslim community in KwaZulu-Natal through Islamic education, spiritual guidance,
